in tekening modus, (paint modus in Engl??) I see the dia in small view and can edit the dia.
In this modus Impress always is loading the full picture. Even if it is a large photo. Neooffice is waitning very quitly untill the picture is loaded. even if I only want to turn the page to see the next dia.
why is impress loading the full pidcture and why is neooffice impress taking all computermemory to do so? and why does it take so long. ?They are photos ( 700X500) that are loaded by the GIMP in only some seconds.

Since you are having much slowness that I don't have, can you tell us which version of NeoOffice you are using and which NeoOffice patch you have installed?
Also, can you execute the output of the following 2 commands in the /Applications/Utilities/Terminal application?:
