Yes, we can help, but I have a question. What version of MacOSX are you running on the iMac and PowerBook? NeoOffice 1.2 cannot be run on Jaguar (and it really should not be installed on the iMac.)

I just upgraded to Mac OS X 10.4.4 and installed NeoOffice 1.2 Beta without a problem.
Are you sure that your downloaded file is not corrupted? You should verify that it is named NeoOffice-1_2_Beta.dmg (the .dmg extension is very important) and that the file is the same number of bytes in size as listed on the NeoOffice download page.

I just downloaded a fresh file and tried again without any sucess. After the error went to console and this is what appears:
So if you are executing /Applications/NeoOffice.app, apparently something got installed, correct? So the installer fails? If so, I suspect that the 10.4.4 updates corrupted the Apple installer application that NeoOffice uses.
Your best bet is to:
1. Reboot
2. Drag /Applications/NeoOffice.app to the Trash and empty the trash
3. Assuming your downloaded .dmg file is of the correct size (you didn't say if you checked the byte size), open it and try reinstalling NeoOffice
If you still get an error during installation, then we can conclude that Apple's installer application is horked. Apple's updates have been known to do things like this so you will need to manually dowload and reinstall the 10.4.4 update from Apple's website. Then install the update again and make sure that you have no applications running while Apple's 10.4.4 update is being installed.

Yes, it install the application, also the file size is correct 123.9MB
I also remember the problem start after i remove ms office x from the computer, i tried to open a .doc file with Neo after removing office and start with the problem. From that point till now I had remove and re-install Neo several times, before and after the 10.4.4 update. Also, i re-install office x to see if the problem disappers but had no success.
thanks,
Jasser

OK. I was confused by your original post. I thought the installer was failing.
If NeoOffice is still having troubles after you install "Patch-3", quit NeoOffice, rename your ~/Library/Preferences/NeoOffice-1.x folder, and restart NeoOffice. This will force NeoOffice to recreate your user preferences will default values.

i just had similar problems installing 1.2 under osx 10.4.4.
after diskutility->fix permissions, a reboot and deleting the files/folders
~/Library/NeoOfficeJ-1.1
~/Library/Preferences/org.neooffice.neooffice.java.plist
~/Library/Preferences/org.OpenOffice.Start.plist
it was starting.
before that, i had the same java font initialisation errors like above.
