Hello,
I have just install OOo 2.0.0 on a MAC OS X (all in French), everything's fine, but when I start OOo I've got the error message:

Command timed out

and the menu of OOo are in English, and the only thing I can do in those menus is to "Edit scripts"

Please help...
I'd search through your forum but didn't find any solution.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Benoît.

sorry for the tech support questions to follow:

do you have X11 installed? if so, does it start up, or does only OO.o start up?

what does the consul log say? is there a crash log?

I have install X11user.pkg form MAC OS X CD-rom
When I start OOo it's better.

But when I try to open a file on a Netatalk server (under Linux), I've got the error message:

General I/O error trying to access /Volumes/SERVEUR_1/test/test.doc (translate from the French...)

Any idee ?

Thanks for your help.

This is a known problem with opening files on servers and is to do with file locking. There is a work around discussed here or you could just copy the file to a local volume and open it from there.

Cheers,

Andy.
