Well, I'll wait then, but I think that you should look at the Autocorrect dialog for the latest NeoOffice 2.0 build.

I just did and it looks pretty normal to me. In fact, it looks like the Neo 1.2.2 Autocorrect dialog. Is there something that I am missing?

I don't know, but I think that mine looks a lot like that the Ed had worked on. However, I may be seeing things....

Really? That's amazing considering we don't have any Aqua code in NeoOffice 1.2.2. I guess Apple's magic "rewrite all our code on the fly" feature is turned off on your machine...

You can also build the app in different ways. The default build settings should have the Aqua stuff disabled Smile

I'm working on the combo box solution but a cpu upgrade fried my cube (sniff) so am in the midst of doing computer repairs.

Ed's poor Cube Sad Crying or Very sad

(If you haven't ever read Ed's account of getting OOo up and really running on Mac OS X for the first time ever, for WWDC 2002, you really should. The Cube--and PBR--play important roles in this process, and you will be (even more) in awe of what your NeoOffice developers can do....)

Ave (but hopefully not vale), fair Cube!

Smokey

I feel for you Ed. I had a similar experience with a PowerMac G4 upgrade. The patient is now doing well, if at its original speed, but I wasted days trying to get it to work.

Good luck.

Andy.

Unlike other leaders who rant and rave, I've got a more powerful weapon. I can code.

Witness the fruits of my power:

(patrick helped on the editable combo boxes)

(and the quick and dirty popup menus)

All native widget HITheme goodness though needing background and size tweaking. This is Mac OS X native to the core. The two required engineering designs are now completely prototyped and proven and the remaining widgets are just a matter of time. Go blog about that.

And since I figure it may come up...

No, these aren't in Neo 2 Alpha.

Yes, the code is in CVS.

No, the code is not stable.

Hopefully, all of these will be ready for Neo 2 Beta, but no guarantees.

Maybe, there are issues with Intel builds due to endian issues in drawing into raw bitmaps. (I don't believe in little endian, so can't verify one way or the other. bitmap ordering is different between the two processors, so I expect issues.)

No, I won't help you build it. The answer should be staring you in the face Wink

Do you plan to make the tab selector more apple-like?

One step at a time. We have lots of work still to do on simpler things like scrollbars, popup lists, etc.

What we work on and how fast we work on it is directly affected by our combined donations and early access membership purchases. We just wanted to keep everyone updated on what we have been doing with those contributions. Smile

Tabs tend to be at the end of my list as they're a bit odd for OS X. The real problem is that using those segmented controls like 10.3 introduced can make the OOo interface really confusing (think the tabs for switching between spreadsheets). Most likely I'll use an approach similar to Qt Aqua with 10.2 style pseudotabs.
