The N Men vs Team X11, a superhero story

NeoOffice: Ok, your mother... I mean TEAM X11, is planning something.

NeoLight: Oh no! Even worse than the Native code?

N: I don't know...

(there is loud rumbling, the sound of a large motorcycle pulling up. It screeches to a halt. The driver is wearing leather coat, dark sunglasses, has a tattoo and spurs on his boots.)

N: Who are you?

NeoOffice Intel: I am NeoOffice (dramatic music) for Intel (intel noise). I am edgy, but fashionable

NL: Ri-i-ight.

N: No, I am. I am that cool kid you want at your party, but I am too cool to be at your party.

N: Wait! I am "N" he has to be "NI" or something.

N: But I am you, just cooler.

N: Fonz my ass, I AM "N"!

JakeOSX: Ok ok, sheesh, he's NI

NI: Feel better?

N: Yes.

NL: So, are you him?

NI: I am Neo's clone, with some... improvements.

N: Oh? I'll improve your...

NL: Ok, you two, no fighting. Do I have to separate you two into different directories?

N: Look, OpenOffice is launching a campaign, and we need to counter it, are you in?

NI: Can I run in late, like the calvary?

N: No.

NI: Can I shoot bad guys with a shot gun from the back of my bike while chewing on a cigar?

N: No.

NI: Can I make witty one liners?

N: (frustrated sigh) If you must.

NI: For shizzal.

N: Except that, you can't say that.

NI: But..!

NL: OpenOffice?

N: Right, ok, (pulls up road map with Team X11's base marked on it)

NI: Where did you get that?

N: I have connections...

NL: He used to sleep with his connections.

NI: Oh really? She hot?

N: Hey, you watch your mouth, I am still your father... even in this Superhero story.

NL: Fine.

N: (pointing to the road map) Ok, we believe that Team X11 is meeting here. Their plan? Uh... no one knows. But if we sneak in there, we can get their plans, and thats what we are going to do.

NI: How are we going to get in? I mean, I have to ride my bike over.

N: (sound of that light bulb) I know, we'll use the Java-ODBC bridge.

NL: Isn't that a bit dramatic?

NI: I dig it.

(The N Men line up on the bridge, Neo in the center, NeoTel on his Harley to the left, NeoLight to the right)

OpenOffice: The Java-ODBC bridge! Arg! I wanted that trick to use for myself!

N: You are finished OpenOffice! Your days of compiling are over!

O: Ha! Zat is what you tink! The dark days of your reign are over! Evil will fall this day!

Native OpenOffice: *drools*

NL: (Quietly) Wait, did she just say we were evil?

NI: I thought they were evil.

N: Of course they are evil, we are the good guys. (Yelling) Your evil ways are over! We will take your plans and then foil them! Good will always win!

O: What are you talking about? We don't have a plan! Besides, you are the bad guys!

NL: See? I told you.

N: We are not the bad guys. (yelling) We are not the bad guys!

O: Yes you are!

NI: They seem to think so.

N: Because they ARE the bad guys, see?

O: Well?

N: (Yelling) Hold on!

NI: You know, they do have matching outfits.

NL: He has a point.

N: Matching outfits does not make them the good guys.

NI: Really? Name one bad guy group with matching outfits.

N: (thinking) The Empire, they had matching outfits.

NL: But they weren't superheros, besides we already did the "Star Wars" parody

NI: See?

N: Look, we are not the bad guys.

O: So, what are you three talking about over there?

All three: ONE MINUTE

NI: I don't want to be the bad guys.

NL: I am too young to be evil

NI: I'd have been someone else's clone if I knew you were the bad guy

NL: I'm just a side kick, really, doesn't that make this your fault? (points to Neo)

N: STOP! We aren't the bad guys. (Pause) but you are right, they do have nice outfits.

NL: So now what?

N: (Yelling) Uh.. We think we left the oven on! Could you put this back? (points to bridge) thanks! (to NeoLight and NeoTel) Run!

(Neo and Neolight run off. NeoTel runs to OpenOffice, takes her in his arms and dips her)

NI: You are the hotness, (kisses her) even if you are my clone's sister

Audience: Eww!... i think...

(NeoTel runs away, leaving a very confused Team X11)

This cannot be right. Team X11 does *not* have a prettier outfits Neo/Tel/Light. If anything, they are wearing something markedly stiff and clunky, and the Neos are wearing half a smooth silk outfit (the other half is still with the tailor).

You might want to equip your office chair with seat belts.

Gasp, I just saw the following notice:
Sun Micro says to cut as many as 5,000 jobs SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Sun Microsystems Inc. (SUNW), which has struggled in recent years to turn a profit and boost revenue, said on Wednesday it would cut up to 5,000 jobs, or 13 percent of its workforce, over the next six months.

What does that do to Sun's OOo support? Surprised

Is this some of jakeOSX's handywork?!? Shocked Boy, HE IS GOOD!

Philip (Is everything a melodrama?!? Wink )

Arggggggh - Drain Bamage (it's in Da Vinci code - BD vs DB).

To many parodies / story lines / themes / mixed metaphors / inside jokes - overload. But I really LOVE these ... stories!

Oh, okay, I'm ill and a little delirious but can't be bothered to come up with the goods here - suffice to say somewhere in there there's:

Guest: what do you mean, 'voyeur'? All I said was I seen you doin' it with Java... [sound of 'Guest' being suffocated between 2 C++ CUPS]

CUPS: [unprintable]!!!

Neo: Nah, baby, I'm a swinger...

And tho on, and tho forth...

I was aware that caffeine was found in coffee and in Coca-cola, but I didn't know it was also part of the Cocoa framework ... I guess it's there to keep developers awake Smile
