To answer your questions:

1 - No, you don't need to mess with the script anymore

2 - No, it will open a new document - in order to focus the current writer document, they'd need to be created as separate applications - not just stubs.

3 - Yes, they should be peers to NeoOffice - not in the subdirectory they get unzipped to.

You can get the new batch from http://www.toonetown.com/projects/downloads/NeoOfficeApps.zip

Let me know how they work out...

Is anyone using these stub apps with Intel? I've placed them in the Applications folder, but when I double-click, they don't launch; they don't do anything.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.8 on the Intel Core Duo chip.

Many Thanks,
Charles

Duh! Just found this in the wiki:

These stubs only work with the 2.0+ releases of NeoOffice for PPC.

Would love to have access to the source code. I upgraded NeoLauncher to a universal by downloading the source, opening neolauncher.xcode, then rebuilding. Wondering if the same could be done with the stub apps.

I'm also using 10.4.8 on an intel MBP C2D and the stub apps work fine for me. I've got 3 of them in the dock, and one click pops up a new doc.
