.dmg fails to mount

As of 1530 on 12/06/06 I have been able to access all d/l sites, but when I attempt to execute I get the following Warning (from my iMAC running Tiger): "The following disk images failed to mount"
Image -- NeoOffice-2.0_Aqua_B
Reason -- not recognized

I attempted to execute from the desktop by double clicking NeoOffice-2.0_Aqua_Beta_3-Intel.dmg. Was this not the correct procedure?
I readily admit that I'm a Mac newbie, so I accept that I may be making a basic error.

It's perhaps simpler to direct you to another thread where another user had a similar issue (although the error message is different) :

Look at my post about checking the byte count of the downloaded .dmg, and Lorinda's link to download NeoOffice with Curl if the byte count is wrong.

If you need more explanation, or if the steps described in the other thread don't work, feel free to post back.

You were on the right track... I had simply failed to wait for the d/l to complete. I didn't notice the progress bar was still active. Dummy mistake that I'll not repeat.

I won't tell you how many times I have made the same mistake.
Those download windows are small and can get covered up.
