No worries, no slapping necessary. I am considering an attempt at the insane Aqua icon set kamikaze project in the future, but in the mean time it's nice to have a little bit of Aqua style in the GUI. btw is there a requirement for a master document Finder icon or is this only a GUI entity? |

It can be both, or neither. Since it is a separate file type, we should keep its Finder icon in sync. For now they're both using the "Generic" icon, although we can revisit that in the future if needed.

FYI. I have integrated these icons and images into the Neo 2.0 Aqua Beta build. If you are building Neo 2.0 Aqua Beta, after tonight's anoncvs sync you will need to "cvs update -d" the neojava directory to get all of the new files and then rebuild the installer. Also note that even after you rebuild and run the installer, you will have to relaunch the Finder to see the new icons in the Finder.

dude! neo, the ghost ship addtion...
haha! i dig it, going to have to put that one in my build.
i've been toying with a french revolution theme for an oo.o x11 splash screen... but i am not sure many other people will find it as funny as i do. (or get it)

LOL. Didn't this thread get started because someone thought the splash screen was too much like a pirate? The Black Pearl here would really freak them out

Also, just so everyone's clear, the splash-screen redesign is over. The Finder icon re-design is over. We've gone with djpimley's final design from a few pages back and they'll stay around for several more versions of NeoOffice.
You're of course welcome to continue to post your own creations here for everyone to see (and use by manual replacement), but I just wanted to make sure everyone was clear that there's no chance of them being incorporated into the official Neo build, lest any misunderstanding ruffle feathers
