I was trying to find it, and I haven't seen anything that seemed very recent, but what is the "Official" build environment of NeoOffice 2? What I mean is what versions of Java and XCode are used to compile the binaries that are distributed these days?

Well, there is the build instructions page on the Wiki.
The PowerPC release is built on Panther, with Xcode 1.5, Java 1.4.2 and GCC 3.3.
The Intel release is built on Tiger, with Xcode 2.2.1 (presumably), Java 1.4.2 (very likely) and GCC 4.0.1. |

I have no restriction on Java at compile time since all javac commands use "-source 1.4" to ensure that the output is Java 1.4 compatible byte code. As for XCode, I list those in the README file in CVS's neojava directory.

I think his question is a bit more specific.
We know that we are able to compile with both Java 1.4.2 and 1.5.0, but I think Nathan would like to know which version of Java is used for the "official builds" (as in Patrick's builds, or your builds). |

My Intel machine has Java 1.5 as the default and my PowerPC machine (which is running Panther) has Java 1.4.2 as the default since there is no Java 1.5 on Panther.
