I went to an electronics store yesterday to buy a new USB key, and I saw they were selling 3 or 4 kinds of USB floppy drives. Perhaps floppies aren't that passé after all |

Improved document icons with new master document icon and improved 1-Bit template icons:
Previously in the 1-Bit icons there was no differentiation between documents and templates so I've inverted the templates. I've also ditched the 8-Bit icon variants since they are not required and they look ugly.
Finalised preferences and documents and templates icons, including high contrast versions of all:
If there are no objections then I'll package these and post a link.

Jamila jiddan!
Interestingly enough, when I was cleaning up some stuff yesterday, I came across a folder I'd set up to compare 16x16 icon variants. In the past TextEdit's icon was much crisper than the (my ) Neo icons, but now TextEdit documents look positively blurry next to the (Daniel's) Neo icons

Note to self: fix your awful basic toolbar already!
Best wishes,

Well done, armando. 340+ icons already! I'll be interested to see what's there: I note the hip new fluorescent spelling icons!
Wish I could help, but it's beyond any skills I might have

The icons are looking very beautiful
My one criticism would be with the new save icon. I think the generic disk icon is good but it looks like there's a bit of aliasing in the edges of the disk which spoils the nice perspective effect. It's a minor thing but I think a little extra smoothing would make it perfect.
I'm now very inspired to start helping, as soon as I've got time. Keep up the work Armando, you're doing great on your own!

Daniel,
These are outstanding, but are they for installation by the end-user or for the package managers? I have installed a previous set using Iconic, but cannot find a way to do so with Aqua Elements 2.0.
Either way, thanks for the great work! |

No. The package is intended for development use. End users can install the files but not without getting their hands dirty (manually modifying the application bundle). If Ed and Patrick are happy with the art it will be adopted in NeoOffice Aqua Final.

Very nice, but how can I put the images into the images.zip file? I can remember someone posted a terminal command to do it some while ago, but i can't find that post anymore. |
