To what extent is Palm Tungsten E2 and the Palm Mac system 4.1 compatible with Neo Office 2?

the tungsten should be able to read/write txt, rtf and doc files, all of which neo can save as. there isn't any automatic update between the two, files would have to be manually moved. |

Yes, for the full document exchange with Calc/Impress/Writer you'll need to look for a third-party prodct called "OfficeToGo" (I believe that's what it's called...it allows Palms to read Microsoft Office formatted documents). As long as you save in MS Office you should be fine. If editing is more of a concern you may want to go the Microsoft PocketPC route as that will give you Pocket Word and other such better office-compatible mobile apps.
There also is an XML filter in both Neo and OOo that exports to a "lite" mobile format, but I really don't know much about it personally.

Many thanks.
I do not need to sync the Cal files, I would just like them with me for reference once I have them onboard.
Word files are no problem as they would be only text.

I have had no difficulty moving data from one to the other.
For your information.
The most notable difference is in formulae that includes a Sheet reference.
In NeoPost, Sheet 7 "=SUM(sheet1.A10)
In Sheet to Go, Sheet 7 "=SUM(Sheet1!A10)
Until next time, Tinkerer. |
