I want to insert a field on a page that will automatically increment by 1. For example if I enter 2301 on that field and print 10 pages, the next pages will show 2302, 2303, 2304 till 2310.

Thanks in advance from a new mac convert! Rolling Eyes

just to clarify, Do you want a one page document (or one page of a document) to be printed 10 times with an incrementing number field. (like pre-printing invoices with reference numbers)

or a 10 page document with a field that increments on every page (like a page number)

having said all that I'll go for the first option.

I'd do it by creating a simple database with the number list (or you could probably do in a spreadsheet)

And then print a mail merge type of thing.

so

1. create your DB
2. create your form with the DB field in it

(Insert > Fields > other fields, choose the DB tab and find the field)

3. Goto Print it will ask you if you want to print a form letter and choose "Yes"
4. choose your DB range
5. click Print

it will thunder pages for each one.
I usualy print to a pdf as a trial run.

It will also do useful things like, if you have set up a lables page (using thr wizard), say. and you want to print 37 lables, I will automatically create the right number of pages. (I didnt know this and used to duplicate pages to the number of DB fields.)
