I've noticed that I'm not always getting an e-mail message when new information is added to bugs where I've added myself to the cc list. I've checked my e-mail address at those bugs, and it is correct.

Any ideas? If this is a known issue, is there a way for me to see all bugs that have been modified/updated since my last login? I'd rather not slog through all 40 unconfirmed bugs each time to find those I'm working with. Very Happy

Thanks!

Is maybe your internet provider silently filtering out the mail as spam? I've noticed that several American DSL and cable providers like comcast.net now do that.

It's possible, I suppose, but I don't think it's very likely. I have chosen not to pay for the "Premium Spam Protection," that my DSL provider offers. I get plenty of spam Confused I have always gotten notifications from trinity and from Apple Discussions when I specify that I want to be notified when a post is added to a thread. Sometimes I get Bugzilla notifications, but often I don't.

I'll check to ensure the mailserver is running corretly. I generally am getting updates properly from BZ for things that get modified. Note, however, that you won't get any e-mails from things you add yourself.

Also, it may be a problem with the CC as normally all of my mail is coming as being the assignee of the bug, not a CC Smile

Thanks for checking on it, Ed!

I figured I wouldn't get cc's for my additions, but there have been other additions to bugs I'm on the cc list for that I wasn't notified of. I'm thinking that the notices I did get were for a bug report I initiated, but I'm not positive about that.

I have, however, figured out how to get Bugzilla to sort by modification dates, so I have a temporary workaround.

For the same bug sometimes I receive the message and sometimes not.
And my internet provider doesn't filter spam.

I, too, have problems with the CC list sometimes (always ?).

BTW, are you supposed to get email updates when someone changes a bug you've posted a comment to ?

I'm not getting any messages, either on bugs I'm cc'd on or bug I've filed. This didn't use to be a problem.

Not unless you're on the cc list (or the reporter or the assignee Wink)

Just to give a specific example, in case it helps track down the problem: I didn't get an e-mail notification after Patrick's last addition to bug 1715, and I'm on the cc list (but I'm not the original reporter.)

Thanks to Patrick for posting a note in trinity about a new patch!

I've created a bug (1937) on bugzilla to try and track this down.

Please add yourself to the CC list and then update the bug with some coment or other, then perhaps we can see if there is a pattern to who isn't getting CC'd.

Andy.

I can now confirm that I'm not even getting e-mails when bugs that are assigned to me are changed. Clearly, I think outgoing mail from Bugzilla is failing to go out.

Ed,

Has there been any recent changes to the mailer daemon on bugzilla.neooffice.org?

Just a brief note for anyone who's unfamiliar:

Basically, all of the NeoOffice "sites" are separate systems, and if you have account on each of them, they are all different accounts....

Trinity, Bugzilla, and www.neooffice.org (as well as cvs and the neooffice.org mail server [for the three @neooffice.org emails: Ed, Patrick, and Community Relations]) are all machines in Ed's house.

Planamesa.com is Patrick's.

NeoWiki is Jake's.

If you aren't getting email from both trinity and bugzilla, it's possible that your ISP has blacklisted Ed or is deleting those messages as spam, or something. (Of course, it seems now there is a bona fide issue with bugzilla, but I'm still getting PM notifications from trinity....)

Smokey
