OpenOffice settings usable for other platforms?

I have defined some Data Sources in Open Office on Linux and Windows (version 1.1.0) and had to remove my Neo Office settings because Neooffice/J 0.8 did not want to start after a disk full error prevented to write back some settings. So I thought I might copy my Linux OOo1.1.0 DataAccess.xml settings over. Unfortunately, it did not work.

I got a console messages:

Is it possible to use settings from other Open Offices? Is there any difference between 1.1.0 and 1.0.3?
