Sometimes when I try to access trinity.neooffice.org, I get a "server not found" error message. This happens probably 30 percent of the time, just enough to be annoying. Is the server that unstable or does it just shut down after it receives its quota of hits for the day/week/month?
Curious minds want to know... |

Most likely the problem is on your end. I can access trinity nearly 100% (and I look at it all day nearly every day). Maybe you are behind a corporate firewall or have a flaky internet connection?

You may be right. I'm behind a university firewall, but I don't seem to experience this phenomenon with any other Web sites. |

I can access Trinity from Work (behind Firewall) and from Home with few problems.
On rare occasions Trinity has problems but they are few.
A lot of times these problems are from the Users end and/or some kind of Domain Name System (DNS) lookup problems.
Keep checking and let us know it you can find any pattern.

Next time you have problems, try to in the terminal do "ping trinity.neooffice.org", "ping www.neooffice.org", "ping neooffice.org". While I did accidentally break the server connection today while I was mopping the floor but it should be better
Don't worry...if there are connectivity problems with the server there are already at least two people who will call me if it goes down

Terminal? REAL Mac users like the GUI!
Use the "Network Utility" application in the Utilities folder. |
