Hi all,

Around two years ago I moved from Open Office (for Mac) to NoOffice (I had moved previously from Mac Office (with Licence) to Open Office as I share the ethical approach by Open Office and NeoOffice).

I did not spent much time with Open Office (on which NeoOffice's tools are based), so I might be asking something any OO user knows, in that case I apologize.

As a Mac Office user I liked to use the split screen facility - I could write some new text while checking on the top (split) screen a table or whatever or a bullet list: I am aware that Calc and Impress have that facility, but I have not been able to locate split screen in Text.

I was wondering whether other people uses an equivalent(ish) option in NeoOffice Text or indeed whether this option is present somewhere.

Thank you very much for your help.

BTW, did I mention that NeoOffice is great? Smile Truly I moved to there and I have not come back to Office.

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying NeoOffice... I'm afraid there's no equivalent to 'split-screen' in OpenOffice/NeoOffice Writer - you'll just have to open two doc windows side by side, I'm afraid, and then you can switch between them using cmd-` (which on some keyboards is where it says it is, and on some is disguised as the §/± key!)

Thank you very much for the information (that is more or less the way I have been using it . It is preparation intensive, so I was thinking that perhaps there was some other way given that the spreadsheet has this facility - but that must be an Open Office legacy.

Thank you for the quick reply. I will certainly continue enjoying and recommending NeoOffice.
