Hi,
All my chapters are designed to start with a right hand page, so blank pages are inserted automatically where needed to keep this correct. Although those automatically inserted pages are counted in the page numbering, they display nothing and I'd like them to display the page number in a footer. Can this be done?

I assume that you've defined left- and right-page styles, and that you have a first-page-right style, followed by a left-style, and that left- is always followed by right- which is always followed by left-.
If that's the setup, check the automatically inserted page to see which style is assigned. It may be "default," which logically does not have footers or page numbers.
I haven't tried to duplicate your problem, but logically it should have something to do with the page-style chaining.
Not much help, I know. But maybe this will nudge you in the right direction. _________________ Jim Plante
