also! if you want to make it easier, better, etc. if you give each of your chapter titles a style, say chapter title style or something, then in that style you can put in the page break automatically. so just by making the chapter name that style will create the break.
you can also automate the numbering of the chapters as well!
Thanks a lot for the quick answer.
I get the first part but could you explain me the style thing a bit more in detail? That's what I tried to do the other day and it wouldn't work.
(the writer is a friend not myself)
instead of manually making a page break at each chapter, if you have a chapter head, something like
Chapter 3 - The Day Ed Bought A Twinkie From a Windows User
go to your styles (either at the top, select 'more' which opens the navigator, or just go to the navigator)
there are predone 'chapter' styles, but i'd suggest starting a fresh one. so hit the new style and make one, name it whatever (i named mine 'chapter break' for example)
under 'text flow' there is the break section, so set it the same way you did with the manual break (insert, page break, right page style)
now, you can also change the font, the alignment, whatever you want.
once you have the style the way you want, make that chapter heading that style by selecting it, and changing the style on the tool bar.
the best part is, if you decide you want all of your chapter titles bolded, or left aligned later, all you have to do is change that style and poof! all done.
