Look. We live in a capitalist world. We live in an antagonistic world. Hell, even though we are open source we have other open source projects treating us like we're the antichrist.

Goddamn.

If you're that lame that you subscribe to our EAP program just *once* ostensibly to "help" us and then dump support for 50+ users on our backs...

Please. Next time save your money and wait two weeks until it's free.

We don't need your "help"...and our community shouldn't feel obligated to support your cheap ass.

Excellent point. And I totally agree with Ed on this.

I'm going to remember that IP address when we start seeing the "fix it now this is a super critical bug" posts.

And this is from a universy too.

Come on.

Nonprofits have to help each other.

I only have ever seen adverts for Phoenix...never seen one from Merit!!

Glad makes me yet more proud to be an Ivy League boy myself and have a degree that is not from a university that will whore itself out for < $100.

...and, in case any of you are wonderly, I forgot to mention that we have received exactly zero payments from any e-mails with "merit" in the domain name.

Congratulations. You may have found a way to game our system.

That's like as ethical as stealing coins out of a homless person's jar.

Grand for you, you got into school, you found a way to get something else for free.

Just wait until you have to get a real job and realize you're lucky if your yearly raise even matches the current inflation rate.

You Craftsman you.

It's actually not a college at all per se, but the state of Michigan's educational backbone network provider Mad

Furthermore, what really annoys me is that they have used a fundraising project for their own gain. That may be legal, but it certainly isn't ethical in any sense of the word.

Or maybe s/he installed on a lab and those poor souls using the lab are unknowing alpha testers. Embarassed

Fools,
small price to pay for early rights to a great program...hell, microsuck charges a lot more than $10 to educational users and then locks them into only M$ products for the rest of their life..

No Message.

I just like the way these two items rhyme.
