I have done something very stupid... I was working all night -- and got so tired that when my document was finished I clicked on "discard" when exiting NeoOffice Writer. Yes, I know... this was stupid. I was indeed very tired.

My Question: Is there any way how I can recover this unsaved work?

Are there any backup copies etc. ???????

Please help...

THANKS!

Rudy

IIRC, the backups get cleaned out when you decide to discard. But you could check the backup folder in ~/library/preferences/neooffice-2.1/user/backup (see your NeoOffice preferences|general|paths setting to be sure of the path).

I am very afraid this will be a painful learning experience to save a document regularly Sad. Everyone has pretty much one of these moments. User interfaces cannot protect you from dumb choices and do not take tiredness into account.

I might be a product from the earlier computer days when crashes were more frequent, but I try to save on starting a project and then have autosave on and also save manually every now and then.

Best wishes,
Oscar

@Oscar: Thanks for your response... I've just check the backup folder, however, it is empty Sad

And, yes, you are right... saving and setting to Autosave is much better Smile

Thank you anyway...
