My Thoughts wrote:
I am so sick of people seeming to bitch about Sun and how it handles OOo. Yes it is open source but yes Sun is still very active with the project....Image how it may have failed if Sun did not devote so many resources to continue development. Look at how much money Sun still spends on not only developers but everthing else to help make this program a success......

Go get Sun's best work today! The official real deal is here for the world to use!! See the amazing fruit of Sun's crack Mac programming team!

Who cares if it doesn't print, doesn't draw all text, doesn't work properly in non-Romance languages, ....

It's from Sun! You can play the secret hidden videogame! It's the roxors!!

Do us a favor and stop trolling on our forums when your own company has the product your own IT staff will force you to use in order to drink the Sun kool-aid (TM).

Ed, I know you run this show, but that was not particularly helpful.
We are in Random Whatnot, not in Ranting...

Best wishes,
Oscar

For me it's been exacerbated by the fact my motorcycle has been in the repair shop for three weeks and I've had to ride the bus. But today it's fixed! Yahoo!

Two thoughts -

1. It's kinda ... scary all the rush/attention that the OOo Aqua pre-Alpha / Developer test version is getting. I understand that it's a just a ... TEST. Just so developers and "testers" can see what is happening.
I think way to many people are looking at this as an "early" release. That SCARES me. No matter how many times the public is told that this is just a test, some are thinking that this is an "early" release and the final will be available soon. Shocked
I'm glad that there is a test available but hope this does not cause a LOT more problems.
Users are very ... hard to manage. Confused It's . just . Scary! Embarassed

2. <off topic> check out the Intel vPro / Security advertisement on the osnews.com URL.
Careful not to get your cursor to close to the middle dog! Laughing

Philip ( Having way to much fun teasing the with the security ad. Wink )

\. IE says .... Wheeeeeeeeeee! Smack!

Isn't it?

Almost as if someone put out a press release today or something.

Way more attention than it's worth.
