Hi, i want to add a mine slide layout in Impress (smaller title area, bigger text area for the content, different font, customized logo on top left corner).
I tried several ways following the help, but led me to a disaster (overwritten a previous impress document).

How can I easilly do it?

Apart the layout, is there an easy way to add the logo to all slides in the same position (like for date, page number and author bottom fields)?

Yes there is. It is called the Master Slide.
Its design forms the back ground for all of the actual slides.

Good luck,
Oscar

Thank you.

For future reference, i found those two (very good) tutorials:
http://openoffice.blogs.com/openoffice/2007/03/openoffice_impr.html

http://inpics.net/tutorials/impress2/custom26.html

the first one told me why i failed:

How Do You Prevent the Disappearing Act?

You MUST apply that new master page to at LEAST one slide, and keep it applied. Or your wonderful new master page will go Poof. (Not always, but enough for it to be a big issue.) So even if you don't intend to apply your new master page to the first slide, keep it applied there until you apply it to other slides.

Also, as soon as you've created your master page, choose File > Templates > Save and save whatever document you created the master page in.

I'm almost sure i saved it, btw now I know how to do step by step.
