| i cannot connect to www.planamesa.net to download patches. i downloaded neooffice earlier today, and was 'admonished' to be sure to check for latest patches for bugs but i have tried for hours to accomplish that task and have failed. i have checked in other forums on trinity and this problem has come up before. i didn't post a new thread because the date was months old. |

Obviously, you can't access planamesa.net directly. There's no point in doing that either, since the patch download page is on planamesa.com (planamesa.net only has the patch binaries). Moreover, the official URL is now neooffice.org (which is an alias to planamesa.com) :

I think there is something wrong with DNS as www.planamesa.net (the machine that serves the patch binaries) won't resolve on my machine. Also, since www.netfirms.com (the webhosting company for that machine) cannot be resolved either, I suspect that our webhosting company is having some serious problems right now.
I'll keep an eye on this and if they are still down in another 24 hours, I'll find another server to put the patch binaries on.

i know that. i tried all that to see if there was an alternative, got redirected to neo. when you have downloaded neo, installed it, you are then shown a screen that 'admonishes' you to get patches by clicking on a hyperlink. that goes to planamesa.net******. i stopped there because i wanted to save some keystrokes and time. anyone who was going to actually do something to correct the problem would know how to recreate the sequence and could view the total url.

FYI. Looks like our webhosting company has fixed whatever the problem is as I can access the patch binaries and our webhosting's main site now.

| Forgot to add that when I posted my reply to the OP, I was able to access both PPC and Intel patch binaries from the patch download page (although trying to access planamesa.net directly redirected me to a 404 on neooffice.org) - I wouldn't have posted a link to it if I thought it didn't work. |
