|
A post recently came up on the WordPerfect-Mac mailing list about the inability of anything beyond OOo-based apps to view/translate a Word file's embedded graphics (drawings, bitmaps, etc.)...
The guy finally had success in seeing the graphic with NeoJ, but when he went to try and "export" (via copy-paste) it (some sort of flowchart-like graphic composed of boxes and editable text) from NeoJ, it became a bitmap (text no longer editable) in receiving apps.
Is there any way to export "vector" graphics from NeoJ (either send to the clipboard as vectors rather than bitmap, or a straight export filter that he/I might be missing)? I've heard many evil things about these Word graphics, and I guess it wouldn't surprise me to learn that they aren't vectors at all but bitmaps that behave a little bit like vectors....

Edit: In case anyone happens across this post, I ultimately found (at least a partial) solution, detailed in my post to this thread. |
