I re-installed OpenOffice & Start OpenOffice after some anomaly, along with a bunch of stuff I later found I didn't need and/or never got to work (Orobor, XDarwin, CoooL) and ultimately got rid of.
What bugs me now is when I start the Start OpenOffice app, or a OpenOffice file, the first window that appears has a green title bar that looks like a terminal window, in that it has my logon name; and in the title bar is "xterm".
And when the spreadsheet opens it has a green title bar too..
I just want the plain old file I want to open, to open, and with the plain old gray title bar.
What is happening is that you are running twm as a X11 window manager instead of quartz-wm (if you are running Panther, or Jaguar with the X11 beta release). It is probably a leftover from your previous installations.
Check that you do not have a .Xinitrc file in your home directory (and remove it), and if not, it may be that the default one has been overwritten in /usr/X11R6/etc. The easiest thing to do is to reinstall Apple X11 if you can in case there are other files that have been overwritten.
