What's the best way to save Draw documents so that they can be shared with windows computers?
Also ids there a way to see Publisher documents in a Mac?
Thank you, Raquel

Raquel,

Welcome to NeoOffice and the forums at trinity.

In terms of Publisher files, I recommend this page of our wiki.

I don't know what the best "Draw" file format for Windows computers is, but there is a list of formats Neo can open and save as On this page of the wiki.

Assuming your Windows colleagues don't have OpenOffice.org, then the question is, do they need to edit the Draw document, or just view it.

If they only need to view the document, exporting as PDF (or simply "Save as PDF" in the Mac print dialogue) is the easiest way to provide a file everyone can read.

If your Windows colleagues need to edit the document...it gets tricky. Draw can export to Windows Metafile (.wmf), which many Windows apps can edit as vector graphics (i.e., still move lines around or edit text). You can see what formats NeoOffice supports reading and writing in our wiki.

Publisher documents are a bit of a conundrum. We have an article about them in the wiki, too, but there are not many choices, and none of them are great solutions Sad

Edit: I see Lorinda has beat me to it Wink

Hi again, I saved the document in publisher as a .wmf and then opened it with neooffice. I can see it as if it was on publisher but I don't seem to be able to edit it. Windows cannot open it, or at least I can't open it with windows, any suggestions?
Thank you for your help

Hmm, it seems that to get a WMF file (at least the ones I have on hand) into editable pieces, you have to select the file, choose "Break" from the "Modify" menu, and then choose "Split" from the "Modify" menu. This gets me individual polygons. (I don't have any with text, so I don't know what happens to text.)
