I'd love to be able to see subdirectories gathered first as a group in the File Open dialog rather than having them interspersed in alphabetical order among files. In Finder, I click on Kind to accomplish this, but in Neooffice, Kind isn't listed as a sort option. Is there a way of activating this features?

NeoOffice is using a native Mac OS X open dialog. As far as I know, this option isn't available in the native dialog (at least not in Text Edit).
