I would like to know abou future plans for VBA and or applescript support.
I am interested in NeoOffice for several reasons, but the chief ones are a desire to get away from M$ especially given their pulling the plug on VBA for the Mac and a lack of VBA compatibility or stability under Rosetta.
I would be inerested in aiding in the testing of any efforts. Unfortunately my 70 hour per week jo precludes my finding the time to learn how to do modern coding. I am much better at procedure rather than object oriented programming.

Right now we include the VBA support from the ooo-build project which is primarily focused on Excel macro compatibility. Right now we don't have any plans to go beyond the ooo-build provided Excel VBA, and we have none for AppleScript. Both of these are quite technically involved projects, one requiring compatibility for thousands of pages of MS documentation and the other for writing a language bridge and defining the language itself. If you've got some VBA dependent system that's outside of Excel, unfortunately the only viable long term solutions are either to migrate it onto the forthcoming AppleScript implementation for Office 2008 or onto one of the supported languages within OOo macro programming (there's a basic-like one and you may also be able to use python or a lower level language via UNO)
