Changing Font/Style Color

Hi folks,

I'm unable to change the color of the cell contents. Numbers appear as blue, formulas as green, text as black, etc. even when I highlight the contents of the cell and select a completely different colour. I've checked the preferences and the "Default" style, but I'm still not able to change the font color of the cell contents.

I also tried creating a style with completely different colors and then applying that style to a given cell. But that didn't work either.

However, I am able to change the color of the cell background. No problems there.

I wasn't able to find anything when Web searching either. I doubt I'm the only with this problem, so obviously I'm doing something wrong or I would have found references to this problem all over the place. And it's probably something really obvious.

So, if anyone there has any ideas, please let me know. Any help would be much appreciated.

BTW, I'm using NeoOffice 2.1 patch 6 on a MacBook with 10.4.10 and all the latest updates.

Maybe the NeoOffice > Preferences > NeoOffice Calc > View Value highlighting check box is marked? If so, you have only to uncheck it.

The last patch for NeoOffice 2.1 is patch 7. It would be good to update

Arg ! I'm such an idiot. I saw that option but didn't think of it in the sense of syntax highlighting like in a programmer's editor.

Yeah, unchecking that option fixed it.
