I just noticed that the image "Formules numérotées.png" has disappeared from the "Fr:Mise en Page des Formules" (NeoOffice Math), in the wiki.

When I click on the upload date in the

http://neowiki.neooffice.org/index.php/Image:Formules_numérotées.png

page, I'm redirected to

http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/404.php

It was still there on 07/06/07.

Of course, I can upload a new version of that image without any problem, but I'm afraid there is a bug somewhere Sad

The image should be there now.

I found that the image file names with non-ASCII characters in them got encoded as "?" characters when they were copied off of the old server. Fortunately, I found only one such image.

I fixed this by renaming the image to its correct name.

I can access/see the image and the history says it's been uploaded in January.

http://neowiki.neooffice.org/index.php/Image:Index_Insertion_Entr%C3%A9e.png is also "missing"

(I think one can find all of the "missing" images by paging back through the Gallery of New Files and looking for images that are black rectangles, but I'm not sure...and am too tired to check now Wink)

I have just fixed this. Like the images that Jacqueline found problems with, this image's file name had incorrectly encoded accented characters.

Sorry, I plead guilty Sad

From now on, I'll give English names to the images I'll upload. No more accented characters Wink

I found two more images with the same problem:

1) Fr_Régression _linéaire.png (uploaded on 3/26/2007). I replaced it with a new image titled Fr_Regression_line, but I can't delete the previous one…

2) Réunion.png. I can upload a new version of this image with another title: Union.png, but I'm not sure that's a good idea?

I'm sorry for all that trouble Sad

I'm not sure I understand your question. Anyway, instead of English names, why don't you give your images French names, but without accented characters (like Reunion.png) ?

I have fixed the Réunion.png.

Don't worry about this problem too much. It really is easy to fix and I believe that it was caused by the one-time event of copying the images from Jakeosx's server to ours. I believe that the copying process misencoded the accented names so as you keep finding the old, I can just rename the files to their correct name.

BTW, I corrected two other mangled image names that I found when I scanned the list of image files on the server.
