Hi All,

Totally new to macs and neooffice, and got a question.

Basically, when i click the neoffice icon to launch it, it opens up the text document word equivalent. If I want to do a spreadsheet I have to close that an open the spreadsheet separately.

Is there no way you can chose which one opens by default whn you open neoffice, or alternatively just select which one you want and open that?

Any help would be great, thanks. Smile

You can download NOMu. That application allows you to open the type of document you wish when you launch NeoOffice.

Welcome to NeoOffice and the forums at trinity.

There are several approaches to this "problem", which are detailed on this page of the wiki. NOMu is one of the options listed there, and is probably the easiest to set up.

I haven't bothered to set something up like this, but if I was going to, I'd probably opt for the first option (titled Launch Shortcuts); that's what I've done with my iWeb domains.

As an aside, if you are new to the Mac, I highly reccommend Mac OS X: The Missing Manual, Tiger Edition. I bought a copy when I bought my iBook, and I've never been sorry. It's full of great information and tips on using a Mac. I say that as a Mac user since 1985, but it has also got some great tips for Windows users who are "converting" to Mac.
