I'm having a problem again that I used to have way back in v1.x - using the clipboard manager ShadowClipboard with NeoOffice, SC will suddenly start running at 100% cpu and I have to force quit it. Now I have no idea if this issue is to do with Neo or with SC or what (though copying/pasting in Calc seems to be the trigger) and I'm keen to track down the issue and see if it can be resolved. I haven't seen anything in the console log, but if the issue were to show up in a Neo log, where would I look for it?

I'm going to do a crash test where I turn off all the haxies apart from SC and see if that makes any difference, too. Any suggestions? Just so it's clear, if this is an incompatibility issue between Neo and SC, I'm not expecting Neo to get adapted to fit my needs, I'd just like to know what's causing it - and if it turns out to be SC, then I can get them to fix it Smile

If SC starts using 100% CPU, you could obtaining a sample of the SC process and sending it on to SC sooner rather than later. After all, with a sample, they should be able to see where there code is spinning even if you cannot reliably reproduce the bug yet.

Thanks - I've got a cold and am not firing on all cylinders, I'd forgotten you can use Activity Monitor to take samples of processes. I'll see what I can see.

*update* I've isolated the behaviour to a problem with SC - all haxies etc. disabled, if I copy a selection of cells from a spreadsheet to the clipboard, fine. But if I copy selected rows to the clipboard (i.e. whole rows selected by clicking and/or dragging on the row headers) then SC immediately goes insane and hits 99% cpu. And exactly the same behavioue whether it's in NeoOffice or Excel. I've sent the developers a process sample, let's see if they can come up with the goods.

Meanwhile, it's been so long since I ran NeoOffice without ShapeShifter running, I'd forgotten how bloody fast it is on my MBP! A pity aqua is so hard on my eyes, it'd be nice to have everything running that fast...
