Hi there,
I noticed that the NeoO spellchecker, I use the Italian one, do distinguish between words I added to the dictionary when they are uppercase, lowercase and preceded by apostrophed articles.
So I have to add the same word to the dictionary for the uppercase form, the lowercase form, the article-apostrophe preceded one, the uppercase article-apostrophe preceded one and so on, it's so annoying!
Can you make the spellchecker no more correct a word I added when it has such modifications?

Thanks.

xja, hai lo stesso problema in TextEdit? Te lo chiedo perché NeoOffice usa il dizionario di Apple.

This is probably the MAc Os X dictonary behaviour, so nothing NeoOffice developers can change. You could also try to set the OpenOffice.org dictonary as default dictonary. Please have a look at the wiki page about this issue and tell us if it helps.

Ciao

I don't use TextEdit, I tested it now, it's true: a word I added keeps being corrected even with articles, but it doesn't distinguish the uppercase/lowercase forms.
The TextEdit dictionary seems not to remember the words I added in NeoO, it keeps correcting.
The dictionary you linked would be better?

Bye!

At the moment, the native spellchecker support in NeoOffice is read-only, meaning that it find words in the OS X dictionary, but not place any new ones in there.

Two-way support is being worked on (I presume) and will appear in future versions.

Best wishes,
Oscar

Thanks,
I installed the dictionary, I'll let you know how it works.
I only hope that upgrading to a new version will not accumulate unuseful files, could those dictionaries be easily uninstalled/upgraded?

Bye.

Hi there,
I have only one more question about the spellchecker, how do I deactivate the autocorrection with the vocabulary you suggested?

Bye.
