I stumbled across this site today and thought it was kind of neat to see what our site looked like in the past.

Some quotes I found amusing:
7/21/03: NeoOffice/J 0.0.1 has been released! This release features self-localization, improved installation, and numerous bug fixes. Check out the NeoOffice/J pages now for more information!
There are a few screenshots of NeoOffice/J available on the front page of its website. Hey, it's stable enough that I use it every day so download it before we hit our bandwidth caps and make some more pretty screenshots and I'll put them up here!
And finally, the NeoOffice.org website as I saw it for the first time:
Welcome!
Edit: I decided to make this thread a poll (Patrick, I hope you don't mind)… |

Aaahhh, I remember the days when drop-down lists kinda-sorta worked, and fonts sometimes almost displayed correctly, and the big blue aqua interface items overlapped so nicely... |

Ahhh, I remember the days of exchanging 4-letter acronyms with EB in the fora...

ah the good ol days...
i mean, i remember when patrick put out the patch that let neo/j print. that was hot shit back then.
i tried both of the neo/c builds when they were new, but still, 1.0.3 gold was the best. then 1.1.2 came out and man.
then again, i was that guy who ran 1.0.1. and impressed a girl with it.
so there |

Wow, you used Neo to impress a girl? I'm jealous. It's never worked for me
The internet archive wayback machine really is a lot of fun. The first couple of years were hosted off of an old 8100/110 which I still keep around as a hot spare, tho I guess it too is a bit out of date...

Well nyah, I've impressed 3 girls with Neo (and 2 guys - I'm a cross-platform kind of bloke) - though in practice I find it's M$ that puts them flat on their backs, and Neo that gets them back on their feet again - and I don't remember where in the version history it happened, but you gents made a friend for life of me when you made Neo ShapeShifter-friendly - it's currently more SS-friendly than the Safari 3 beta, how cool is that? (oh god, I'm turning into an American...)

Heh. My command line skills never impressed anyone, including casting magical incantations of find and sed. I must just be in the wrong bars (no genius bar cracks, please, I can see that one coming from a mile away...).

Pretty sure my first version of NeoOffice was NeoOfficeJ 1.1 beta - so that's how I voted. |
