|
Hi,
The popup (or rather:dropdown) window on the right side of the NeoOffice writer toolbar contains one item to change the colour of characters, but I can see no provision for switching to other colours. (Normally, I would expect a little arrow to present a choice of colours). Can you please indicate how it is done?
Another question is about expand and contract, That is probably not the right terms, but I am referring to the ablity to restrict a text to the paragraph titles. I wonder if N.O. has this feature?
I am using an Intel Core 2 Duo Mac mini running OS 10.4.11
I am not yet familiar with NeoOffice writer, but browsing through several pages of this forum did not reveal any query on the above topics, so it seems that most people have had no trouble with changing character colour. Sorry about being the first to ask. |

It sounds like you want this article from our wiki.

Thank you smokey, but that's not answering my question which was basically: "There should be a little arrow next to Font colour or next to Highlighting to enable changes of colour. I see no such arrows"
Please tell me how I can make them appear. |

the arrows are there are my installation. Is the button at the far end of the toolbar?
You might try removing the buttons from the toolbar and adding them again.
Or moving your preferences. See this article in the wiki
What version of Neo and what version of Mac OSX are you using?

I use NeoOffice 2.22. patch 0 and OSX 104.11
You suggest removing the buttons from the toolbar and adding them again How do you do that? |

OK. Let me try a different approach. First, you are running Patch 0 so can you install the latest patch (Patch 6) from the NeoOffice patch download page?
Do the little arrows now appear just to the right of the Color and Highlight toolbar icons?
If not, try hovering your mouse over either icon. You should see a border appear around the icon. Also, a very narrow border should appear just to the right of the icon's border? Does that narrow border appear? If so, does a popup window appear when you click inside the narrow border?

My experience of this is that if the button is displayed on the toolbar itself then the colour choice arrow is visible. If the button is on the toolbar but is not displayed, then the dropdown menu to the right which shows the toolbar buttons which cannot be displayed because the toolbar is too short shows the button but not the little arrow for colour selection.
