|
I believe that my Mac has MS Office 2003 or 2004 but anyway, when I open a MS Power Point in NeoOffice, my animations have to be re-selected and re-animated.
When I am working with Power Points that I have created in Mac Office in Open Office my animated bullets carry over and when I view my Power Points, animations come up as they are supposed to. Is there something that I can select in an options menu that would allow animations to carry over? I know that I sound like I am repeating myself but this is the single thing that is preventing me from using NeoOffice all of the time on my Mac.
Since I have already created the Power Points and animated them once before, I really don't want to or have the time to re-select and re-animate my bullets and text when I open them in NeoOffice. Thanks for your time! |

What version of OpenOffice.org are you using? NeoOffice 2.2.2 is based on OpenOffice.org 2.2.1. If your animated bullets are successfully imported in OOo, they should also work in NeoOffice, but it's possible that you are using a more recent version of OOo than what NeoOffice is based on… |

Thanks for the info but when I double checked the verions of the office utilities that I am currently running on my ibook, I have OOo 2.1.1 and NeoOffice 2.2.2 patch 6.
The only thing that I can think of is that when the power points were originally created, they were done on Microsoft Office for Mac v.X not 2004 like I thought. I am able to open up my power points on my other mac that is running Office 2004 for Mac with no problems. It is odd. Like you said, since NeoOffice is built off of OOo, you would think that it would all work but I guess not.
Maybe some other NeoOffice users might be able to create a power point with animations on Office v.X and could try to open it in NeoOffice to see what happens. Thanks again! |

If the animations work in OpenOffice.org 2.2.1 but not in NeoOffice 2.2.2 Patch 6, then I would recommend filing a bug in Bugzilla and attach a sample file that we can use to reproduce the bug.
