For those who are interested, Vous et Votre Mac (a French magazine) has published a comparison of the three major office suites for Mac OS X: Microsoft Office 2008, iWork '08, and NeoOffice 2.2.2
Each suite is covered in a separate article; NeoOffice is featured on pages 54 to 57. The article is very complete and accurate (unlike their last NeoOffice review). Overall, they give a positive and realistic description of NeoOffice, with its advantages and its drawbacks (one of which has just been addressed - multimedia support in documents).
I'm very imprsssed by the apparent research they have done: unlike the last time they wrote about NeoOffice, they seem to be aware of NeoOffice's features and possibilities (no mention of the - non-existent - native Help integration this time), available support resources, project situation etc. Two thumbs up!
Thanks for this info. I'll hope to find this last issue soon. I live in a very little village, so I'm not always informed about the recent issues of the magazines

Do you know if they have any online articles? If not, does anyone think I could try to purchase a copy and get it mailed? I try to scan various things and get them online for our supporters and my own memory scrapbook.

I haven't done any work on the icon set in the last months, but we're close to have a complete set. The missing icons are mainly in Draw/Impress modules and in the Styles Palette.
Here's another drawback that's actively being addressed

They do have a PDF version, but after looking at their website it appears that they only ship it on CD. It doesn't seem they ship outside the EU (except for Switzerland and French DOMs and TOMs) either...
