Hello!
I have installed NeoOffice/J, and its works really better than OOo with Mac OSX, but the thing is that NeoOffice/J use so much memory than OOo and I wonder why there is a so a big difference?

Thanks, Etoile
OpenOffice/X is a native application that runs on top of X11, thus you have to add together both OOo and X11 to get the actual amount of memory used to run OOo. NeoOffice/J is a Java/Carbon based application and runs in a Java Virtual Machine. Java programs appear to be larger but in reality, they are not. And to directly answer your question, NeoOffice/J is Java based and Java programs appear to take more memory because of the method of memory allocation used for them.
