|
Open a document.
Select Help > NeoOffice Help.
Close the document. NeoOffice displays a blank window.
To close that window you must close the Help window first.
It happens if you have only one document opened.
Is this normal behavior?

Are you using any of the test patches? Were currently up to patch 11 test patch 5. If so, the test patches include our implementation for menus with no windows closing. The first idea that comes to mind is that this new code may be getting invoked with the last document close and isn't aware of the help window still active. I'll try with the test patch and a clean install tomorrow.

No. When you see the blank OOo "backing window", it means that this new feature is incomplete.

With Patch 11 Test 6, I no longer see the behavior described by Jacqueline.
Also, the Help window doesn't have a menu bar (which I didn't before), but that's what should happen since the OOo Help window doesn't have a menu bar either. |
