would love to see its dictionary in neooffice - how do i go about creating it?

Lingucomponent has information, but it looks like it's mostly talking about converting existing dictionaries.

The OpenOffice.org dictionary system now uses Hunspell, so you might find something more useful there. My understanding is that the Hunspell author is pretty responsive, so if you can't find any documentation on that site, try contacting him.

Alternatively, if you feel more comfortable in Cocoa and with creating a Mac OS X spelling dictionary, NeoOffice will use that, if installed—but there seems to be even less information out there on that.

I'm not sure that sardisson's recommendation will actually work as NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code will only support spellchecking for a certain set of languages.

You can find the languages that could potentially be supported by selecting the Format :: Character menu and in the dialog that appears, click on the Font tab. All of the potentially supportable languages will be in the three Languages drop down list boxes.
