| When I downloaded the new 2.2.3, the usual icon with a picture of a hard drive on it appeared on my desk top, labeled "NeoOffice-2.2.3-Intel.dmg". But when I double click on it, I get the error message "The following disk image failed to mount - NeoOffice-2.2.3-Intel. not recognized". Being fairly new to Mac operating systems and to NeoOffice, I know I am doing something wrong. Can someone help me? I'm using the new alum iMac with Tiger. Thanks. |

On the download page, you will find a short paragraph describing how tu use cURL to download NeoOffice. cURL is the recommended method if yu're having trouble finishing your download (which is the likely cause of the error you're seeing - an incomplete download that appears completed).

(you will need to go to the main download page, and select a download - PowerPC or Intel - to reach the mirror list, where you will see the instructions for using cURL) |

That is actually a pretty reasonably fast download. NeoOffice is not a small application by any means. After all, it is a full office suite so the download size is ten times the size of a smaller application like Firefox.

FYI, this set of instructions exists, which might have shaved some time off of the (re)download. It might be useful for us to suggest this to people who seem to have gotten a partial download of a release.
