|
I am working on a spreadsheet and when I type numbers like 1.1.1 they get automatically converted to dates (2001/01/01). How can I stop this?
Edited by Lorinda to add [Calc] to the subject title. |

You have two ways:
1- Select the cells in which you want to enter these numbers, go to
Format > Cells… Click on the Numbers tab, select Text in the Category section.
2- Enter '1.1.1 in the cell. The apostrophe ' will not appear in the cell, it tells NeoOffice that 1.1.1 is in Text format, and not in Date format.

Thank you, Jaqueline. The first option works great. To think that I was ready to revert back to pen and paper... |
