Greetings!

Is there a way to manually define which data set is the x and y values for a chart? Additionally, is it possible to name a data set on the legend to a different name than the one on the table?

I.E- I have a set of data I need to make into a chart. Due to design constraints (And my professor...), one column must be the first in the series. The problem is, this column is meant to be graphed on the Y axis.

It looks like this...

Tio Ub UbCalc
1 3 7
3 10 2

etc etc. The Ub column needs to be on the x axis, and the Tio and UbCalc both need to be graphed on the y axis.

Is there any way to define Ub as the x data set manually, or is my only option to have Ub be the first set of data?

Thanks!
-Chili

Why don't you copy/link the bits you need into a new sheet?

Best wishes,
Oscar

That will work, but it's a bit clunkier than I would like.

Basically, the various elements of this table are determined by other parts of the sheet.

I.E- Change a value in B3 changes a value in C18 which in turn changes one of the values I listed above, which changes the resulting graph. Repeat this 4 or 5 times for various cells.

If there is no way to just define which data set is the x axis, then the above will work, but if there is such a method, it'd be preferred, as that would save the trouble of making sure everything updates properly.

Thanks again,
-Chili

Well, I use excel (at work) and there you can manually select source data for the X and Y axis. I would assume that NeoOffice has similar possibilities...

Best wishes,
Oscar
