I have an Access database on a Win XP desktop. Can this be converted and transferred to NeoOffice on a Mac? |

You can't convert it wholesale. You can access the tables, and maybe import the tables into a new embedded Base document but you would need to rebuild forms, etc. There's some information on Base and Access in the OpenOffice.org wiki. (NeoOffice is based on the OpenOffice.org code)

Your suggestion converts the file on the Win XP machine. If so,how do I transfer it to my Mac? |

If you converted it to a Base file, your converted database data and forms should be a a new file ending with ".odb". Just copy that .odb file to your Mac and then drag the .odb file onto the NeoOffice icon in the Finder, and NeoOffice should open it.

Thanks Lorinda & Patrick. I'm a newbie but I'll get on with it and report back. |
