Hi,
This has probably come up many times before, but I couldn't find the answer. Is there a way to make the impress presentation (in fullscreen mode) appear on the secondary screen?

When I connect a large screen (or projector) to my MBP I would like the presentation to appear there (that's why I hooked up a projector), but I can't get it to work in dual-screen mode, only when I mirror the displays.

Is there a way around this?

Thanks.

Generally I just mirror the displays as you already mentioned. There isn't the equivalent of the Office "presenter" mode in Neo as of yet, so there isn't any gain to be had from not mirroring. I just keep the Displays menu bar icon active on my laptop to turn mirroring on and off quickly.

It gets weird, because the projector is usually 1024x768 or 1280x1024 (4:3 or 5:4) while Apple's screens are wide, so it gets to look very bad on the laptop screen. Besides, you can't read your mail while waiting for everyone to come in with the first slide showing.

Is there any plan to get this into Neo? Or is that functionality inherited from OpenOffice?

In the Slide Show > Slide Show Settings… dialog, if you have a second monitor (such as a projector) attached, you should be able to select that as the monitor for the presentation. I've never used it though (only ever had one monitor).

Thanks! Worked like a charm. I only have one monitor, but when I need to present a presentation, this is pretty helpful.
