I'm sure this isn't a new request but I couldn't find it in a previous thread. Would it be a big job to provide access to the "Services" under the NeoOffice menu? I realise that they are available only in Cocoa applications but does that exclude a hybrid such as Neo? (Sorry, I'm a total ignoramus in such matters - I was really quite proficient in the days of Fortran IV, Fortran 66 and punched cards!)

That's not strictly true; Carbon apps can (and did, see Eudora and the Finder) work with Services, but indeed most Carbon apps never hooked them up.

I think Patrick looked into what it would take to get Services talking to Neo at one point, and the amount of work was going to be tremendous (modifying a bunch of core OOo code, IIRC). Sad

Punch cards! Very Happy I learned my times tables on the backs of used punch cards Smile

Yes. This is true. Making the Services menu active is easy. What is hard is actually bending and twisting NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code to actually do something useful with those services.

Thanks - and I should have responded more quickly to say so.
