|
i am always wondering why newoffice wastes vertical screenspace between the text and the window bottom or the status bar.
when the text is broader than the window this space is needed for the horizontal scrollbar. But moslty the text is smaler than the window and why does neooffice wastes that space in that case with a line containing nothing?
beside this, neooffice is great! when my book is out i will make a bigger donation! |

I'm afraid the blank spacer you're talking about (that's there when the horizontal scrollbar is enabled, but is not needed because the whole page width is displayed) is inherited behaviour from OpenOffice (of which NeoOffice is a port), which still does that in their version 3 beta.
I guess you know that you can turn off the horizontal scrollbar in the preferences?

I didn't know that it is possible to turn off the scroll bar in the preferences.
Thank you for the hint. The blank space disappears when turning the scroller off.
On an 13'' screen every vertical space is worthfull. |
