I can't get my preferred time format to stick in Calc.

I would like to display times like this: 933p

So here is what I do:
1. Type 21:33 in a cell. It shows up as 21:33:00.
2. Format the cell as hmma/p to have it display as 933p

So far so good. But if I save the file as .sxc, then close and reopen it, the cell displays as 933pm. The extra character has also been added to the format in the Format Cells dialog box.

This does work in Excel, and it works in Calc if I use .xls format, but not with .sxc format. I don't know whether it's a Neo/J issue or an OOo issue.
