(I posted this question before, but I think it was when the site was hacked, and it didn't appear.)
I can't get "regular expressions" to work at all under "Find & replace." I've made sure "Regular expressions" is selected, and I don't think I'm making any other simple mistake. Searching for any of the regular expressions---for example new paragraph (\n) or tab (\t), or the first character in a paragraph (^.)---produces the result "Search key not found."
Unfortunately, I have never been able to get regular expressions to work with either Neo/J 0.8.4 or OOo 1.0.3 which makes me think that regular expressions are broken in OOo 1.0.3.
The good news is that regular expressions do work in Neo/J 1.1 Alpha 1 and OOo 1.1.2.
