So, I am getting sick of copying text from a Mac program with command-C and having to use CTL-P to paste it into OpenOffice.
Also, if I cut and paste more than one paragraph, OpenOffice doesn't consder the Mac return a linefeed.
I tried to look all over in help and forums for discussion of this, but I failed. Is this an Apple X11 thing, or and Open Office thing? Is it fixable? I would like linefeeds to be handled/interpreted right, and I want to be able to use Command for cut, copy, and paste?

Uncheck the X11 input preference: "Use Keyboard Equivalents under X11. Then you can press splat together with OOo key shortcuts -- like splat-V for paste, etc.
You can set your own OOo key short cuts in its Tools/Configuration/Keyboard preference tab.
